Why Choose an extended stay hotel?
What kind of hotel do you prefer staying in?
Three weeks ago, I spent a fun weekend in Miami during the FIFA playoff weekend between England and France.
For the first part of my stay, I booked a beautiful upscale hotel in Brickell. It was modern, contemporary, spotless, and very well designed. I'm sure many travelers would absolutely love it.

But I discovered something about myself...
It just wasn't my style.
The sleek design felt a little too modern for me. It was impressive, but it didn't have the warm, comfortable feeling I enjoy after a long day.
For the last couple of nights, I stayed at the Homewood Suites by Hilton in Brickell, an extended-stay hotel similar to the Residence Inn by Marriott.
The difference was immediate.
Instead of one open room, I had a comfortable sitting area with a sofa and coffee table, a desk where I could work, and a kitchenette. It simply felt more like home.
As someone who travels for business, I realized how much that matters.
When you're away from home, finding a hotel that matches your personality and travel style can make you feel more relaxed, more productive, and even help you enjoy the trip a little more.
One of the questions I often ask travelers isn't, "What's the nicest hotel?" It's, "What kind of hotel fits you?"
There's a reason our industry has so many different brands and hotel concepts.
Because there are so many different kinds of travelers.
What's your preference?
